The seminar on "Ecological safety. EU experience to Ukraine" was held on the 28th of October, 2016 in Sumy State University within the framework of the EU grant project "Implementation of ecological safety strategy: integration of European experience" (P562284-EPP-1-2015-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE).

Scientific coordinator of grant project PhD Olena Melnyk told the audience about the best practical experience of the European countries in solving ecological problems. In particular, the issue of waste management, using alternative energy sources, restoration of natural resources, biodiversity saving and others were considered. The most successful ecological ideas of EU that can be implemented in our country were analyzed as a result of the seminar.

The seminar was attended by more then 60 people – students, postgraduates and the teachers of the Department of Applied Ecology in Sumy State University.
