«Ecological Security: the Message to the Wind»

The University is a powerful scientific-methodical and scientific-research center, that actively influences on the development of the North of Ukraine. And it’s not only about the educational environment. The scientific topics from religion to Economics and to sustainable development issues of the global level provide effective impulse to the communities’ development. Project «Implementing the environmental security strategy: integrating the European experience» (program Jean Monnet Module (Erasmus+)), is implementing at the University from 2015 yr. Proliferation of alternative sources of energy is an important component of global ecological safety.

The Ukrainian Wind Energy Association (UWEA) takes a prominent place in the international circle of expert institutions in the field of wind energy expansion.

The Association performs consulting services in the field of renewable environmentally friendly energy sources, promoting the creation of generation capacity using wind energy, solar, water, biomass.

On May 22, 2017 in Oleksandr Dovzhenko Hlukhiv National Pedagogical University took place a lecture-presentation of Andrii Konechenkov, Chairman of the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association (UWEA), Vice-president World Wind Energy Association (WWEA). Lecture «The experience of the EU and Ukraine in the development of wind power industry: steps to the future» was organized within the project «Implementing the environmental security strategy: integrating the European experience» (program Jean Monnet Module 562284-EPP-1-2015-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE (Erasmus+)).

The project team has created the conditions for fully support of this educational event.

The students, teachers, active members of the local community and the representatives of the local press could put the questions and constructively discuss on the topic of preservation of ecological balance on the planet, achieving a high level of environmental safety. It says about the priority of environmental safety in the country's energy development by European Standards.

The University expresses its sincere gratitude to Andrii Konechenkov for his visit to Hlukhiv with educational mission.

We very hope that very soon the first «sprouts» of Wind Power Energy will appear on Sumy region map.
