EDUCATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN ACTION

The VI regional "School of students’ initiatives” for educational institutions has taken place in Oleksandr Dovzhenko Hlukhiv National Pedagogical University, 21-23 October 2016. Its subject was the formation of students’ worldview in the European conditions. During the event, аssociate professor Inna Koreneva has delivered the lecture “Implementation of the principles of education for sustainable development in the educational process of high school: the European experience”.

70 leaders of student trade unions and student governments of Sumy region universities had been event participants. They acquainted with the one of the principles of the European legislation in the field of environmental safety and environmental protection - the principle of sustainable development, with the peculiarities of its use and features of education for sustainable development. Lecturer has revealed possible ways of training future educational workers on the basis of sustainable development, has outlined the main strategic lines of the UNECE Strategy "Education for Sustainable Development".
